We provide individual care in a professional environment. We have a fully equipped workshop for manufacturing of specialized and custom designed orthoses. We stock a wide range of off the shelf bracing and splinting for various muscular, skeletal, neurological, vascular and functional impairments. We are also contracted with most medical aids. We work with PMB, WCA and RAF cases.
Prosthetics
Prosthetics is the field of medicine where a body part is replaced with an artificial body part to restore form or function. At CH Van Der Westhuizen we aim to be part of your journey to recovery. We are driven by passion for our craft and a good understanding of the road to rehabilitation for our clients and their families.
Orthotics
Orthotics is the field in which bracing or splints are provided in the case of injury or post-operatively for rehabilitation and immobilization. We have a special interest in pediatric orthotics as preventative and post-operative care. We pride ourselves in quality custom made devices and strive to be there every step of the recovery process.
Compression therapy
Made to measure custom compression stockings and compression garments. There are many reasons for compression therapy to be prescribed. The most common of these are varicose veins, lymph and general circulatory problems or as preventative treatment for thrombosis.
Mobility
Wheelchairs come in a variety of shapes, sizes and functions. We strive to supply a patient specific product after a proper evaluation. We can evaluate and fit all mobility equipment ranging from basic home care devices to more complex wheelchair seating and positioning.
Medico-legal
Compiling medico-legal reports regarding RAF, PRASA, and medical negligence claims.
Paediatric Support
We offer paediatric support for children.We are suppliers of Ponseti AFO's as well as CP seating.
